Explain what is meant by “housekeeping cabin”
In a cabin set up for light housekeeping you can expect to find most of the essentials for day to day living. The beds are made up and the kitchens are well equipped. We furnish towels, linens and kitchen towels. From our point of view, light housekeeping means you wash the dishes, make your bed, take out the garbage, and maintain the cabin in an acceptable manner during your stay.
Do you still require a damage/cleaning deposit?
Our regular clientele do not have a damage/cleaning deposit added to their bill. However, we reserve the right to charge large groups or events an added deposit to cover cleaning. Everyone is expected to pay for any damage that occurs. Leaving us a mess may result in added charges and you will not be invited to return.

Please plan to bring your own beach and boat towel. We do have boat towels for guests who fly in and rent a car to travel to the resort we will have beach towels available for sale in the camp store.

Do you have air conditioning in your cabins?
All cabins have air conditioning and heat. The two historic cabins have been upgraded to a mini-split, which is more efficient and quieter than a window unit.

All boats put in at the public access near the boat docks on Hand Cove Road. Please check your boat and trailer for any vegetation and clean or decontaminate if necessary to avoid cross contamination to other lakes.
Do you allow pets?

Not every guest on the resort may feel the same way we do. Please keep your dog leashed at all times. No pet can be allowed to stay in the cabin alone. This is a safety issue for your pet. We provide ‘poop’ waste bags as you are required to clean up after you pet. Not adhering to the pet policy will or if you have an un-authorized pet, or exceed the number of registered guests will be asked to leave with no refund.
We have a pop-up camper. Is it permissible for the kids to sleep in the camper in the parking lot?
We cannot allow you to set up a tent or canopy alongside our cabin. We are licensed as a resort, not a campground. Sorry!
